2.0 motor rebuild, parts and advice needed

Hello FIAT Dino friends,

Hope you are well!

I found an old decrepit FIAT Dino Coupe here back home (2.0).
Rusted beyond belief, so I bought all that was salvageable, the motor and transmission. Rear end /axle had disappeared, possibly on an ox cart :)
Ignore chassis number.

I am going to rebuild it, but I require some parts, it was a low mileage,
and reasonably taken care of, until it was left to rust. the engine is apart, and not mistreated too much.

I need the front 6 pin large nuts that hold the timing gears down below, and the safety rings, missing...

Pistons no problem, J&E. (higher comp.?) Overbore to 2300?
Valves,
seats
Carb rebuilding kits
Water pump rebuild kit
Oil pump (will check clearances).

It still has std. rod and main bearings, but alas, everyone is saying that Superformance has gone down on quality,
but only rebuilding once, so out they go.

Another odd thing, was the drivers side timing chain has no safety lock, just continuous.

If I may ask, where do you find yours?

Thank you for your kind reply.

Best regards,
Alberto

Hi Alberto,

Congratulations to the Dino and the decision to bring it back on the street!

Regarding Parts, there is Superformance, since the Brexit Quite expensive for European Buyers, and in Germany Dinoparts that have a lot Parts, especially everything you need for your Engine and in good Quality.

Regarding chains: These are on purpose without a lock, safer at high revs. I recommend to Change Both chains to new ones, they are not very expensive. With that I also recommend to Change the Four chain drive bearings, as they are also not expensive but important.

Happy to give you more Support/advice if needed, where are you located?
