Hi all,
I'm new in this forum, I own a 2400 Coupé and I recently decided to renovate this since I do believe that it is a nice example of beautiful Italian car design after all.
In principle I'm an Alfa Romeo man but a few years ago I went in some sort of heretic approach and I bought this car in essentially good conditions. It's Nocciola metallizzato with Beige interior.
I have a question for the experts of the Forum that would need a accurate knowledge of this model.
I am under the impression that when we drive under the rain, water accumulates in the compartment that is just in front of the windscreen where the motor and the mechanism of the wiper are.
I my car there is no drain at all and the comparment becomes flooded.
I looked for a plugged drain somewhere with no success. I spoke with another owner and if I well rember he said to me that this accumulation is the norm.
Any idea? Driving in sunny days only?
Cheers

Yes, there is a drain hole. Flooding is not the norm. On the driver’s side it is below the “gear box” for the windshield wiper. A small hole. It might be closed with dust and dirt. Losen the 3 bolts that hold the gear box, lift it, then you can see and clean it with a wire. On the passenger side it should be below the wiper’s motor.

Check the dash board from below. On the left and right side you will find a plastic tube. If I remember correctly, beige or black color. About 25mm in diametre. The water collected in the above department is drained though this tube to somewhere below the car.
