I have purchased a hardtop for my 2.4 Dino Spyder. It is a Marcplas one ( as apposed to the Pininfarina one ). Does anyone have one that they can post or send me some good pictures of the top from all sides and the inside ? It would be appreciated.

I may be able to help. I have a hardtop that does not have a Pininfarina tag on it and I have multiple photos of it. Instead of posting them here, if you go to the Yahoo fiat Dino forum, they are posted in my photo folder... "#1186". If you have problems, let me know and I can post them here

Charlie,
it would be fantastic if you could post some photos here. I am sure this is also of interest for other forum visitors.
Cheers,
Adrian

I am restoring a hardtop for a 2.0 liter spider. Are the 2.0 and 2.4 hardtops different? I heard somewhere that only the 2.4 liter cars had hardtops yet this one came from a 2.0 liter car.
I am in the process of restoring the top.
How do I post images?
Ivan

Ivan, for posting images just click on the tab "Upload attachment" below the text input window.
Then add pictures via the "Select file" dialog and upload them via the "Add the file" button.
Good luck!

I will add photos later this weekend. It will be interesting to see how this thread progresses. I have been trying to find out information regarding hard tops for years... rumors of a 2.0 and a 2.4 version, but no documentation. I have been trying to sell my hardtop for years but can't get a deal done because the thing is too expensive to crate and ship!

Ivan,
There were two different makers of the hardtops. Pininfarina and Marcplas. They look very similar. The marcplas one is the picture that I posted. The Pininfarina one has a smooth vinyl top and a thicker chrome band around the rear window. You could order a hardtop for a 2.0 car as well as a 2.4 car. Although most were ordered for the 2.4 cars.

Here are some photos of my top. Someone drilled a hole, perhaps for an antenna and later put a plug.
Let me know if you need photos of a specific area and I will be glad to take it.
