This is an asking price. Selling prices should be a bit lower
However, these luxury car dealers have a different kind of customers. These are not the ones like we are. They do not inform themselves about prices, market and the car itself. They see a car they like and buy it since money is not a big matter.
I've seen a 2000 Spider a few years ago at a car show at the stand of a German high-class classic car dealer. It was a good restoration, but not very original, wrong rims, wrong steering wheel, prancing horses all around and some other wrong details. It was priced for ridiculous 99.000 Euros. There was another 2000 Spider at the show for 37.000 Euros, not a perfect car, but a good car that has not been sold. Somebody told me later that the first one has been sold for 91.000 Euros. Just crazy!
