Why is my carburettor flooding.

Post by 4cambob »

These are the round top dcnf's on my 67 2litre coupe. The problem is the middle carb is dripping fuel as seen from the outside when the engine is idling. Then with the engine stopped it is still dripping fuel from the accelerator pump jets, pooIing up above the throttle valves. I have set the floats accurately to the workshop manual settings.
A Weber outlet suggested it could be the heat vapourising/expanding the modern fuel in the bowls and the increase pressure forcing it out of the pump jets.
But I'm not convinced as it only happens to the middle carb.
