Good morning all,
I searched the forum and found 28 posts for fitting 3 point belts. Most of the info is about the Coupe or 2.4 Spiders.
It’s been about 6 yrs since the last post on this subject.
Has anyone installed 3 point( preferably auto recoil) to a 2.0 Spider.
Since I have the body totally stripped right now, I can add anchor points just about anywhere.
Thanks
Michael

Fitting 3 point seat belts to 2.0 Spiders

Re: Fitting 3 point seat belts to 2.0 Spiders
Since the bodywork of the 2.4 and 2.0 liter Spiders is the same, you can do the same with yours as with the 2.4...
However, I would only install 3-point seat belts if you also have seats with headrests.
And my personal opinion...
Three-point seatbelts look awful in a classic convertible (if they weren't already part of the factory design).
The supposed sense of security offered by three-point seatbelts is also deceptive...
If you think you're protecting yourself from being thrown from the open car in an accident, discreet two-point seatbelts are perfectly adequate.

Give me time until mid of November and I will take and post some photos, how I installed 3 points autmatic seat belts discretely into my Dino Spider 2400.

Re: Fitting 3 point seat belts to 2.0 Spiders
I was looking through the manuals I got with the car. Unfortunately this manual which is in excellent condition, is in German and for a 2.4.
But mostly the information is ok for my later 2.0.
I came across this page explains the seat belts and anchor points. They state that the 3rd anchor point is in the rear wheel arch. It actually looks kinda in the corner between the rear bulkhead and the wheel arch. It’s obviously not a retractable type.( don’t know if they even had those in the late 60’s.

Incidentally I’d love to swap this handbook for a decent English version.
