Re: Exhaust + engine wipes / coupe 2400
Hi Fabrice. Apologies in advance for correcting your English, but you may want to change this to read "Exhaust + Windscreen/Windshield wiper motor". Engine=powered by petrol/diesel Motor=powered by electricity I'm not sure where you're from, but I speak Spanish and, to a lesser extent, Ita...

Re: Stainless steel exhaust
And I'm sure there are plenty of other filters that will also fit. I notice that the one Iain Tyrell has on the Spider also sloped towards the front.
Maybe this can as subject for another thread - Show us your performance air filters.

Re: Stainless steel exhaust
I'm with HugoHarris on this one - have you heard Iain Tyrell's Spider? It sounds absolutely marvellous.
And the ITG filter too. Totally reversible so I don't understand why more people don't do this conversion. I'll be getting one, once I can get the car started

MALPASSI FILTER KING - WHICH ONE?
85MM seems to be what is suggested for cars with over 150hp. But there is the "Motorsport" version in Black which would look more original in my engine bay, then the standard silver one. It's described as the V8 version. High flow, low pressure. Both the regular and the Black Motorsport ve...

Re: FUEL FILTER/REGULATOR LATE 2400 COUPE
Thank you, Thomas for the response. Why did you add the Filter King? Did you need to regulate the fuel pressure down from a non-standard fuel pump that would otherwise overwhelm the carburettors? Or simply to provide a secondary filter? I wonder if we should look at fuel pressure. Check our fuel pum...

FUEL FILTER/REGULATOR LATE 2400 COUPE
Hi All. I'm just about to refit my carbs after a rebuild and this has prompted me to look at the fuel system as a whole. It's been suggested that late Coupes (I believe mine is one of the last) have a fuel filter assembly mounted onto the left inner wing. See the diagram attached. FUEL SYSTEM.png Mi...

Re: IGNITION TIMING. HOW TO WITH STROBE LIGHT.
Thank you, Thomas. PM sent. I will still come back and report here so that someone else can hopefully benefit from our experience. If I have to be the person that fills this forum with technical "how-tos" then so be it. The lack of technical information available within the public domain i...

Re: IGNITION TIMING. HOW TO WITH STROBE LIGHT.
Thank you Thomas. Now I understand. 1st marker on the indicator plate is 10º BTDC and the line on the pulley must coincide with that at idle, using my strobe light. Currently, that pulley line is about 10-15º to the left of that 1st marker, so I have some adjustments to do. The second marker on the ...
