Oil smoke from one exhaust

Oil smoke from one exhaust
Hello, I can see some white oil smoke coming from the driver exhaust in my 2400. It's evident at idle and at every RPM, not necessarily releasing the throttle. What are the possible causes? Please note that pistons and segments are 1000 km old.
Re: Oil smoke from one exhaust
White is usually not an indicator for oil leakage, but for water. Another indicator is that is occurs under all driving circumstances. Maybe (most likely) the head gasket.
Re: Oil smoke from one exhaust
Definitely not water: smells like oil clearly.
New clue: the oil vapor hose of that very bank doesn't puff any oil.
Oil is just coming from the driver exhaust.

Hello,
I also think it's water, because the white smoke is water vapor.
The pistons and segments have 1000km but the exhaust pipes are old and are stuffed with oil and gasoline so the exhaust fumes smell of oil or gasoline
I am also thinking unfortunately of the cylinder head gasket or a crack.
It would be necessary to check the tightening of the cylinder head 80Nm and the compressions of each cylinder

Compression of cylinders is good folks, pistons and rings new. We are dealing with oil smoke, please take it as a dogma and trust my nose

How do your spark plugs on the left bank look? All pretty fine or is one oily?
I have the same issue since I have my Dino. I had to clean the plug on cylinder 1 regularly since it was full of burnt oil. After replacing the valve stem gaskets and adjusting the valve clearences, it got better, but it is still there.I think it still leaks on the piston ring. But I don't want to disassemble my engine.

Re: Oil smoke from one exhaust
Tobi thank you. In my case I doubt that only three pistons and all three on the same banks are leaking from the rings. I’m more convinced regarding the valves stems.
I will let you know regarding the oily spark plugs after some trips.

OK... why asking if completely convinced? I have been taking many engines apart in my life... if it is white... it is water...
If it smells like oil, then maybe a crack in the block or in the head, so that both water and oil is getting burnt. Maybe while tightening the head bolts... or... what also happens sometimes through corrosion (just seen recently).

Re: Oil smoke from one exhaust
After some use I can say the smoke is white on cold start and then becomes bluey. Only on the left bank.

Do the easy things first, i.e. replace the valve stem gaskets and adjust the valves. If it's still there, it's leaking on the ring. If it runs fine, accept it. If you start to work on the rings, you have to take the heads off and may do the whole engine.
