2.0 Spider #665
I’m starting to send out all the miscellaneous metal parts for stripping and recoating. The chrome and stainless are easy.
But does anyone know if the following where originally plain cadmium plate or painted.
The brackets for the front and rear bumpers are painted black on my car. But underneath the paint on the front brackets they are cad plated.
Door hinges.
Again these are painted red, but beneath the paint they are cad plated.
Same story with the shaft and universal joints on the steering column.
These are the more important pieces as they are visible all the time.
Also is there a key to finishes in the parts manuals, I can’t spot one.
Thanks in advance for the help.
